Ben Cairns
Partner
Ben is a chartered building surveyor (MRICS) with over 20 years’ experience and is the leading partner on Party Wall and Neighbourly Matters within Schroeders Begg. With his team, he undertakes the full breadth of party wall work from assisting large developers to private individuals. Ben and his team act for both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners in respect of development proposals. Ben also deals with Neighbourly Matters, advising on access and oversail licences and other related aspects such as Schedules of Condition.
Ben is an APC assessor for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an RICS accredited Counsellor, providing guidance and support for candidates throughout the APC process. Ben is also a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club and Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, both of which are bodies promoting education and best practice in Party Wall matters.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys playing guitar, outdoor pursuits, travel and eating out.
